1. INTRODUCTION
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Student Perks services as made available through integrated third-party platforms such as the SUBTV app (the “Service”). By using the Service or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
The studentperks.co.uk website provides legal and informational materials only and does not enable browsing, purchasing, or redemption of offers.
2. WHO WE ARE
Student Perks is operated by Student Perks Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16236989, with registered office at Vox Studios, W205, 1-45 Durham St, Vauxhall, London, SE11 5JH.
3. OUR SERVICES
We provide fulfilment services that enable eligible users (students or verified account holders) to access the following perks, available exclusively via integrated platforms such as the SUBTV app:
- Gift cards (paid): Discounted or face-value digital gift cards from participating retailers. We act as the merchant of record for gift card purchases and are responsible for order fulfilment and customer service.
- Voucher codes (free): Discount or promotional codes provided at our discretion for use with participating retailers. Voucher codes do not require payment and may be subject to additional terms set by the retailer.
Retailer-specific terms govern the use of each gift card or voucher code. Availability, denominations, restrictions, and expiry may vary by retailer.
4. USE VIA THIRD PARTY PLATFORMS
Student Perks is accessible through integrated third-party platforms, including the SUBTV app. When you purchase a gift card via SUBTV, your transaction is processed directly by Student Perks Ltd (merchant of record).
In such cases:
- Your payment is processed by us.
- Your contract is with Student Perks Ltd.
- SUBTV is not responsible for refunds, cancellations, or fulfilment errors.
For convenience, SUBTV may act as the first point of contact for customer support enquiries. However, Student Perks Ltd remains solely responsible for the sale, fulfilment, and any refunds in accordance with these Terms.
5. ELIGIBILITY
All prices include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Student Perks reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order.
To use the Service, you must:
- Be at least 16 years of age
- Register with accurate, complete, and up-to-date personal information
- Use the Service only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes
- Be part of a closed consumer group (e.g. enrolled at a recognised FE/HE institution), where required
- Comply with these Terms and applicable laws
The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
6. ORDERS AND PAYMENTS
For orders placed via the SUBTV app, gift cards are added to your SUBTV wallet after successful purchase. A confirmation email is sent from SUBTV on behalf of Student Perks, detailing the order number, gift card value, payment amount, fees, discounts, and saving applied.
You then have two options:
- Generate the gift card
- Request a refund (within 14 days, if the card hasn’t been generated)
If you do not request a refund within 14 days, the gift card may be auto-generated. Once a card is generated, it becomes accessible via a “View” button and cannot be refunded.
Gift cards are provided as browser-accessible URLs and may be saved by users outside the SUBTV app. We recommend saving your gift card link securely.
All prices include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated. Student Perks reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order.
7. REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
This clause applies only to paid gift cards. Voucher codes are free and not eligible for refunds.
A refund request may be initiated from the SUBTV wallet by tapping 'Request Refund'. An email confirmation will be sent by email from SUBTV on behalf of Student Perks to confirm that the request has been processed.
Refunds can take up to 5-10 business days to appear in Your bank account, depending on the banking provider.
Once a gift card is generated, it cannot be refunded unless required by law. If a card is inactive due to our error, contact us within 14 days of purchase. Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 apply.
8. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All content in the Service (including design, logos, trademarks, and text) is owned or licensed by Student Perks Ltd. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any content without prior written consent.
9. USER CONDUCT
You agree not to misuse the Service. You must not::
- Access systems without authorisation or introduce malicious code
- Share, post, sell, or misuse codes or offers
- Share voucher codes/gift cards with others, publicly or privately
- Post codes on social media, forums, or discount websites
- Engage in commercial, automated, or bulk redemption
- Circumvent verification or impersonate others
- Harvest or scrape data
Your account is personal to you. Breaching these rules may result in account suspension.
10. THIRD PARTY LINKS
Our communications may include links to external websites. We are not responsible for their content or accuracy.
11. THIRD PARTY RETAILERS
We do not operate the gift card or voucher brands. Retailer terms govern use and redemption. We are not responsible for how third-party retailers honour or restrict these products.
12. ADVERTISING & AFFILIATE DISCLOSURE
Student Perks may receive compensation from retail partners when users purchase gift cards or redeem voucher codes. This enables us to offer perks and keep services free.
We choose offers with our users in mind, but we are not responsible for third-party services. All offers are presented fairly, whether paid or unpaid.
13. PROMOTIONAL OFFERS & CODES
All promotional codes, discounts, and voucher codes are discretionary. They may be changed, restricted, or withdrawn at any time. Limits may apply per user, account, or device. Expiry dates or usage restrictions may also apply.
14. ACCOUNT SUSPENTION
We may suspend or terminate your account without notice if we suspect:::
- Fraudulent behaviour
- Misuse of the Service
- Breach of these Terms
- Attempt to exploit or abuse the platform
15. ACCOUNT SECURITY
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for any activity under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
16. PLATFORM AVAILABILITY
We strive to maintain reliable access but do not guarantee availability or error-free operation. We may suspend or restrict access for maintenance, legal, or operational reasons.
17. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses resulting from use of the Service.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded by law.
18. FORCE MAJEURE
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control, including natural disasters, pandemics, power outages, wars, or regulatory restrictions.
19. INDEMNITY
You agree to indemnify and hold Student Perks harmless against any claims or losses arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Service.
20. AMENDMENTS
We may change these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service means you accept the latest version.
21. PRIVACY POLICY
Use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use your personal data.
22. SEVERABILITY
If any part of these Terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining sections remain in effect.
23. GOVERNING LAW
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales.
